BREAKING: Heavy police presence after reports of shots being fired inside the Parks mall

Currently, there is a heavy law enforcement presence along with other emergency agencies at Parks Mall in Arlington, Texas, following reports of shots being fired inside the mall near the ice skating rank according to witnesses.

The mall is on lockdown, with evacuations underway at this time. At least one person has been reported to be injured as it's currently unknown if there are more. Police are urging everyone to avoid the area at this time.

The Arlington Police have just released a statement confirming an ongoing investigation into a reported shooting at the Parks Mall.

The mall has been evacuated, and officers are currently securing the building.

Initial findings suggest that this was an isolated incident stemming from a fight, and is not considered an active shooter situation at this time.

There were some scary moments Wednesday morning for Diamond View School students, staff and parents, after the Susanville Police Department received a report of a student who may have brought a firearm to school’s campus, which was immediately placed on a ‘lockdown status.’ “Officers arrived and met with the school principal, who identified the student,” explains Interim Chief of Police Michael Bengoa-Bollinger. “It was learned no gun was ever observed, and it was a ‘statement’ that had been overheard by the reporting students while on the bus to school this morning.” School officials and officers contacted the student away from the other children and found no firearm in the student’s possession.
