Earlier this morning, Slidell Police arrested 35-year-old, Alexa Wingerter, a Slidell High School teacher, following a lengthy investigation into allegations made regarding inappropriate relationships with students at Slidell High School. In early March, the Slidell Police Department launched an investigation after receiving complaints that Wingerter was having inappropriate relationships with male students at Slidell High School; as well as sending inappropriate photographs and messages via text message, and by utilizing various social media sites. Over the course of the past month, Slidell Police investigators conducted multiple interviews and executed several search warrants. As a result, investigators found sufficient evidence to support that Wingerter was involved in an inappropriate and sexual relationship with at least one 18-year-old male student, as she acted in the capacity of the student’s educator. Sandusky city schools placed on Lockdown due to suspicious individual

This morning at approximately 10:08 am, SELA's administrative assistant received a phone call from a parent regarding a post on social media reporting an alleged suspicious individual in the neighborhood around the school.  The building principal immediately put SELA on lockdown. Students and staff were not in danger.  After 16 minutes of lockdown, the SPD gave the "all clear" and students and staff continued a typical day of  teaching and learning.

Student Surrenders Firearm, Prompting Lockdown at Livonia's Holmes Middle School, MI

Livonia, MI - At Holmes Middle School in Livonia, students were temporarily locked in their classrooms yesterday after a student handed a gun to a staff member.  The incident prompted a brief "hold in place" safety protocol, where students and staff remained in classrooms while hallways were cleared.  Principal Roger Opsommer informed parents that the situation was addressed without any threat to students, staff, or the school.  The gun was secured immediately and handed over to school security and the Livonia Police Department, which is currently managing the situation along with school administration.  Additional support, including school social workers, will be available to assist students.

Developing: 15-year-old killed at Hainault Station, Chigwell, UK

A 15-year-old boy has been reportedly killed by a man with Machete at Hainault Station, Chigwell, UK. The alleged suspect can be seen in a viral video with a Machete in his hand walking away from the crime scene. There are multiple security agencies responding to the situation, 13 police cars, 3 vans, 1 paramedic, and 3 ambulances are at the scene. Ongoing Incident: Protesters erected tents on Tulane University premises, Many Arrested

Dear Tulane Community: Today, participants in a protest that was unregistered and unsanctioned by Tulane University stormed university property and erected tents on the edge of the lawn in front of Gibson Hall near the sidewalk.  After warning protestors not to enter Tulane property, TUPD officers began arresting individuals and clearing tents away.  This is an ongoing situation. We had more than 40 law enforcement officers on hand before the protest, including TUPD and mounted police. Officers arrested six protestors thus far, who are refusing to identify themselves.  Offenses include trespassing, battery on an officer and resisting arrest.  We are working with local law enforcement and government officials to resolve the situation.  The safety and well-being of the members of the Tulane community is our top priority. Active Scene: At least 7 LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS shot during active shoot out in Charlotte, North Carolina

ACTIVE SCENE: The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, which is comprised of officers from multiple agencies, was conducting an investigation in the area of the 5000 block of Galway Drive in the North Tryon Division when they were engaged by active gunfire from a subject.  Multiple law enforcement officers have been struck by the gunfire and are being transported to the hospital. The CMPD SWAT team is currently on the scene. The threat is isolated to the area of the 5000 block of Galway Drive. Investigating an active threat The Marblehead Police Department is investigating a reported active threat that was called into the police station.  The High School is currently on a hold.  A significant presence of the Marblehead Police Department is on the scene investigating and making the scene safe.  Again, this is not an active shooter incident, it is a threat that was called in to the police station that is being investigated.  We ask that you stay away from the High School as access will be temporarily denied.  As soon as it is appropriate we will provide a status update. Cameron residents have been asked to please be aware there is an active shooter in the area. Police are looking for the individual.  Take precautions, lock you doors, let your relatives know. Developing: Authorities are asking residents in the Gloucester, Virginia area to shelter in place as they search for an "armed and dangerous" man

The residents in the area of Lowneyville Lane and Pinetta Road are asked to shelter in place for a police incident.   We are looking for Robert Paul Rosell Jr., a white male, approximately 32 years of age, last seen wearing either a white or green shirt and blue jeans.   Please be aware that Mr. Rosell Jr. could be changing clothes.    He is believed to be on foot and is considered armed and dangerous.   If anyone sees him or anything suspicious, please contact the Gloucester County Communications Center at 804-693-3890 and do not approach him.    Attached is a recent photo of Robert Rosell Jr.

Developing: Another bomb threat at carolina forest high school again

Another bomb threat at carolina forest high school again.  The threat was received Monday morning.  Parents have also been notified through emails.  The school is on lockdown. Officials said the threat is being addressed to "provide as little interruption to the school day as possible." The same incident happened last week, five threats were made within 3 days and the school send out a statement saying that they found the two students who were doing it and that they’ve been arrested.

A potentially catastrophic collision was narrowly averted near McCutcheon High School as quick thinking and adherence to safety protocols prevented injuries in a three-car crash involving a school bus. U.S. 231, just south of the school, was temporarily closed but has since reopened, bringing relief to the community after a tense situation. According to Capt.
