One person was shot in the parking lot of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on Sunday, the Denver Police Department confirmed.  That person drove on their own to a local hospital, DPD spokesperson Kurt Barnes said.  There is no information about the extent on that person's injuries suffered at the scene, nor any update on that person's condition since arriving at the hospital.  The incident occurred some time prior to 4:17 p.m. when DPD announced the incident on social media.  No information was available about other victims or what may have lead to the gunfire.  DPD investigators are working to develop suspect information, the department stated in that social media post.  

Update:  Officers at the scene have confirmed the shooting occurred though there are no reported injuries at this time. There are reports of active shooter at walmart on outer loop in Louisville KY. People are asked to stay out of the area. An eyewitness said "I am currently locked inside Walmart…active shooter outside. Another eyewitness said "They’re letting everyone leave now. We’re all safe but they still have the suspect surrounded." Another report said "I'm at my house now, but about  a mile away, lmpd chopper is still circling walmarts parking lot" Here is another account "I live in the subdivision behind Walmart and that chopper has been going over head for hours already. Update: Suspect is reportedly located on the 25th or 26th floor, and it is reported he has fired between 30-40 shots. Local authorities and SWAT teams have swiftly responded to the scene. Currently, a substantial law enforcement presence in riot gear is visible at Del Amo Mall in Torrance, California, following a Facebook group of 150-200 members issuing a post announcing their planned flash mob-style takeover at the mall, coordinating activities such as looting and the destruction of storefronts.  Authorities are actively monitoring the situation, leading to the closure of multiple streets, and the mall is now on lockdown as a precautionary measure. Update: A fight between teens/teens led to the temporary closure of Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance this Saturday. A Torrance PD spokesman said officers assigned to watch the mall noticed a group of dozens of young men/teens arguing. Shortly after that big group became several groups that began to fight each other. At least one juvenile was seen fighting with an officer. Officers then worked to clear the mall, safely escorting shoppers out of the area. The incident remains under investigation. 

Boston Fire and Boston Police are in an active shooter situation on Fairlawn Ave.  Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke showing when a gunman inside opened fire on police and firefighters.  Fire has been knocked down, SWAT is currently working the scene. Reports indicate the suspect from the Fairlawn Ave incident has been taken into custody by Police.  There is no further information available at this time. This is still an active situation.

A Massive Rescue operation is underway as more than 75 to 100 people are stranded on a large broken sheet of ice Currently, a massive rescue operation is underway at Upper Red Lake in Minnesota, with numerous emergency personnel and other agencies on the scene working to rescue over 75 to 100 people stranded after a large ice chunk broke off from the main ice on Upper Red Lake.  Emergency responders are evacuating from the southeast part of the ice in Red Lake, and several areas are affected.  Officials say there are no reports of anyone in the water yet, as this situation is still developing. Officials say at least 122 fishermen have been rescued from an ice floe on Upper Red Lake in Minnesota, no injuries have been reported.

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly murdering his parents and injuring his 11-year-old sister in Miramonte, according to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office. The victims have been identified as Lue Yang and Se Vang, who were married. The incident happened at a home on Dunlap Road near Coach Road just after 7:30 pm Wednesday. Investigators say the 14-year-old called 911 and said someone broke into their home and attacked his family before leaving in a pickup truck. When deputies arrived, they found Lue and Se dead, and their 11-year-old daughter badly injured. She was rushed into surgery and is expected to survive. Deputies at the home found evidence that they say showed the 14-year-old made up the break-in story and that he was the one who used multiple weapons to attack his family. BREAKING: Heavy police presence after reports of shots being fired inside the Parks mall  Currently, there is a heavy law enforcement presence along with other emergency agencies at Parks Mall in Arlington, Texas, following reports of shots being fired inside the mall near the ice skating rank according to witnesses.  The mall is on lockdown, with evacuations underway at this time. A 15-year-old Muslim girl was pepper-sprayed on a Brooklyn street by a stranger who called her a terrorist, police said Wednesday. The victim was walking on New Utrecht Ave. in Bensonhurst when she was confronted by a woman near 79th St. about 1:50 p.m. Dec. 19, cops said. “You f—ing terrorist Muslim,” the attacker, believed to be about 40, said as she sprayed the young victim in the face before running off. The shaken teen did not require medical attention. The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating. Cops on Wednesday released surveillance images of the suspect and are asking the public’s help identifying and tracking her down. The Michigan Supreme Court has  rejected an attempt  to remove former President Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot based on the US Constitution’s “insurrectionist ban.” The outcome contrasts with the recent ruling from the  Colorado Supreme Court , which kicked Trump off its primary ballot because of his role in the January 6 Capitol riot. There were reports of Multiple large fights that broke out at Greece Ridge Mall, New York.  Some reports said there are at least 50 people fighting in the Mall. Shots were fired, one person was detained and released, no injuries were reported. 

There are reports of active shooter at Woodland Hills Mall, Tulsa Oklahoma. Many are reporting that it was an active shooter. An eyewitness said "I heard something and saw people running to the other end is the mall so I joined them. All the stores were closing their doors and the only way out was the main exits. Police say a juvenile female was taken to a hospital after being shot Tuesday morning in Moore. Authorities told KOCO 5 that the shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. near Northwest 27th Street and Nottingham Way.  A juvenile female was shot at least once in the abdomen and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Officers also detained a juvenile male and are working to determine how he is connected with the victim. Police have not released the two juveniles' ages.  They are investigating what led up to the shooting. Sky 5 flew over the scene, showing multiple police units and crime scene tape in the parking area along a building on Northwest 28th Street.

  A Christmas Eve shooting in Phoenix has left three dead. Police identified the gunman as the widower of former Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel.  Officers responding to a shooting call late Sunday found two women — ages 47 and 83 — who had been fatally shot.  Police said 47-year-old David DeNitto, who had been married to Adel, was dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.  Adel resigned as county attorney in March 2022 after drinking-related incidents came to light. She died less than a month later of health complications. Adel’s successor, County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, released a statement in the wake of Sunday’s shooting, saying it is impossible to comprehend the tragedy. “I ask the community to join me in praying for the families affected and, most especially, Allister’s children," Mitchell added.

A man was  shot and killed  in Seattle's University District on Christmas. The shooting happened Monday evening on 15th Avenue Northeast near Northeast 47th Street, according to the Seattle Police Department. The area is about one to two blocks north of the University of Washington campus. The Seattle Police Department is investigating.  No information was available about what led up to the shooting.

Colorado Springs Police say one person is dead and three people are in the hospital after a shooting inside the Citadel Mall on Sunday evening. Colorado Springs Police confirm that multiple potential shooting suspects are in custody. They are working to determine if the shooter is among those they detained on scene. CSPD says the situation is contained and there is no ongoing threat to the community. Patrons report a large police presence inside and outside the mall. One person is dead and two others are injured following a shooting at a bar near German Village Saturday evening, police said. According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers were called to Double Take Bar & Grill located at 912 South High St. on a report of a shooting at 6:12 p.m. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene around 6:20 p.m. Two victims self-transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. There was an active shooter in Paddock Mall, Ocala, Florida.  So many people were caught in the Mall while the unfortunate incident was happening.  According to reports, one person was injured and another one died. There are reports of someone causing panic at Franklin Mall, Ohio. There are multiple reports of active shooter at Hume-Fogg High School, Nashville. Some eyewitnesses said they could hear shots from the outside and only teachers are inside the school.  Metro Police responded Hume-Fogg Academic High School on Friday due to a phoned-in threat. According to police, school security did not see anything and schools are currently closed for winter break. Metro Police is clearing the school out of an abundance of caution.   A woman was found shot and killed in her North Providence, Rhode Island, home this week, according to   WJAR-TV . A family member of the 63-year-old woman called 911 at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to North Providence police. The man who called said he hadn't heard from the victim since Thanksgiving, WJAR-TV reported. He then went to the woman's home on Centredale Avenue and found her facedown on a couch, according to WJAR-TV. He then called police. The woman's name wasn't immediately released, and it's unclear at this time when she was shot to death. "It's awful. I mean, it's something I never experienced before," Giuseppe Moretta, a neighbor, told WJAR-TV. "She was always alone. Never had any company. Never saw a car there." This was an isolated incident and ruled a homicide by the Medical Examiner's Office, police said. No arrests have been made.

 A Chesterfield Police Officer and a hospital patient were shot at Tucker Pavilion in Chippenham Hospital early Friday morning, according to Richmond Police Chief Rick Edwards. Both individuals survived the shooting and the suspect shooter was taken into custody, he added. The suspect, according to Edwards, is a 27-year-old Glen Allen man who showed up at Tucker Pavilion to check himself in for mental health treatment.

 Tonight, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Anaheim Police Department Officers received a report of an active shooter at or near the Disneyland Hotel prompting a significant police response. Responding Officers quickly determined the report was a hoax.  Officers thoroughly checked the area and did not locate any evidence a shooting occurred.  There is currently no threat to the Disneyland Resort or the surrounding area.  There will be an increased police presence at the Disneyland Resort and surrounding area throughout the evening.

  A man was killed in a shooting Wednesday in   Uptown Dallas . Police responded to a shooting around 5 p.m. off McKinney Avenue and Pearl Street near a strip center with a Wells Fargo bank, restaurants and other businesses. Dallas police  say they found a man who had been shot on the sidewalk just outside the bank. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. On Thursday morning, the man was identified as 46-year-old Roderick Butler. There were some scary moments Wednesday morning for Diamond View School students, staff and parents, after the Susanville Police Department received a report of a student who may have brought a firearm to school’s campus, which was immediately placed on a ‘lockdown status.’ “Officers arrived and met with the school principal, who identified the student,” explains Interim Chief of Police Michael Bengoa-Bollinger. “It was learned no gun was ever observed, and it was a ‘statement’ that had been overheard by the reporting students while on the bus to school this morning.” School officials and officers contacted the student away from the other children and found no firearm in the student’s possession.
