Breaking: Reports of Active shooter at Tampa Premium Outlets, Lutz, Florida

One person was injured after reports of an active shooter at Tampa Premium Outlets, Lutz, Florida.

Pasco Police Department has responded to multiple calls about the incident and they released the following statement:

12/17/23, Community Alert: Tampa Premium Outlets, Wesley Chapel

Pasco Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting after a fire alarm was activated at the Tampa Premium Outlets around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon.

At this time, deputies are continuing to investigate but there is no evidence of a shooting and the only injuries were unrelated medical events and minor injuries after individuals were injured in the rush after the initial report.

The investigation remains ongoing and there will be an increased law enforcement presence in the area as deputies continue to investigate.

Diamond View Briefly Locked Down While Police Investigate Threat

There were some scary moments Wednesday morning for Diamond View School students, staff and parents, after the Susanville Police Department received a report of a student who may have brought a firearm to school’s campus, which was immediately placed on a ‘lockdown status.’ “Officers arrived and met with the school principal, who identified the student,” explains Interim Chief of Police Michael Bengoa-Bollinger. “It was learned no gun was ever observed, and it was a ‘statement’ that had been overheard by the reporting students while on the bus to school this morning.” School officials and officers contacted the student away from the other children and found no firearm in the student’s possession.
