Compilation of all the videos from active shooter scene at Paddock Mall, Ocala, Florida

There was an active shooter in Paddock Mall, Ocala, Florida. 


So many people were caught in the Mall while the unfortunate incident was happening. 


According to reports, one person was injured and another one died.


Ocala Police Department released the following update:

"NOTICE: If you left the Paddock mall area and your vehicle is in the parking lot, please be advised that you will not be able to access it until we are finished with this scene. It will be several hours until you will be able to retrieve your vehicle. We will update this post when the scene is clear. Thank you for your understanding.

UPDATE: This afternoon at around 3:40 p.m., OPD received a call in regarding a shooting at the Paddock mall with multiple shots fired.


It came over the dispatch radio as an active shooter situation and we responded with a heavy police presence and entered into the building to eliminate the threat. 


We discovered that there was no active shooter but that a shooting did occur in the mall. 


One adult male was found deceased in a common area, and one woman sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. 


We believe the shooter fled the area and is at large.


We also believe this shooting may have been targeted. 


Right now we are conducting a secondary sweep of the mall and are investigating this shooting.

UPDATE: There is no longer an active shooting situation. There are multiple people injured. The suspect is believed to have fled. The mall is being evacuated at this time. Please avoid the area as police investigate.

An eyewitness, Briana Filpo said "The way Im hiding in Macy’s closet from an active shooter at the Paddock Mall in Ocala 😭😭"



Rene Rashad who also witnessed the incident wrote "I was at the register trying to pay in Bath and Body Works and then we heard so many gunshots! So many people ran into the store (Bath and Body Works) ! I tried to run with my baby but the stroller got stuck behind the counter. Everyone was going through the back. I was trying to get my daughter out of the stroller but people were jumping on top of us! If you see in the video I posted, they are using her stroller as a shield. When we came outside it looked like a war zone! I ran through puke because people were outside puking. It's unreal! I threw my cards and wallet, left the stroller and my purse and car keys! I left my phone too, but someone from the store had it and gave it back! A man helped me, because I was laying on top of my baby! They trampled us! But to Gods be the glory!"
