Mesa County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a call about a suspicious incident on Pinyon Road, near Denver, on January 12. The unsettling find was made by an individual responding to a social media post offering free items at a recently sold property.

According to a police statement issued on January 12, individuals cleaning out the property discovered what appeared to be human remains inside the residence. Subsequent confirmation by officers revealed that the body part found was a severed human head.

Details about the identity of the deceased person remain unknown at this point. The property, located at 2988 Pinyon Road, was reportedly occupied by a mother and son, as shared by a neighbor. Records indicate that the family lost the father, David Bradley Imer, to a cardiac arrest caused by a COVID-19 infection in 2021. However, authorities have not officially confirmed the identities of those living in the property.

A neighbor revealed that the gentleman who lived there was taking care of his mother, and the household seldom had visitors. The property changed hands as the former occupant moved out and sold the house on the same day. The timing of the new homeowners' arrival is unclear.

The unsettling discovery unfolded when someone responding to an online post about free items collected a deep freezer from the garage. While cleaning it out, they reportedly found a black bag containing a human head. The neighbor also mentioned the presence of "animal meat" on top of the freezer, though this detail awaits official confirmation.

Investigators at the scene, captured in footage, wore personal protective equipment as they combed through the property, which still bore remnants of belongings left behind by the former occupants. As authorities delve into this disturbing case, the community remains on edge, awaiting more information on the mysterious circumstances surrounding the human head found in the freezer.
