There were reports of active shooter at Lawrence County schools, Tennessee. Another reports of same incident was reported in Giles County.
University of Tennessee Southern had to be placed on Lockdown because of this incident.
At one time, it was reported there was an active shooter on the campus of the University.
Authorities responds to calls and lockdown was placed on the schools so that authorities can carry out an investigation.
After the investigation, it was reported that there was NO active shooter in Lawrence or Giles County.
At the end it all turned out to be false.
After investigation, the following message was released by the Lawrence County Schools.

At 1:45 P.M. , Wednesday, January 31, 2024, LCSS was informed of an incident that resulted in one of our safety measures be activated, Secure Mode, which results in limited access of guests to our campuses. Student learning and instruction continues in a Secure Mode, and outside activities are moved in doors.
The matter was quickly resolved by local authorities.
LCSS thanks local authorities for their service and attention to safety at all LCSS campuses.
