Anti-war Activists Protest In New York City, Washington Over U.S., UK Strikes In Yemen.
A few dozen anti-war activists gathered at Times Square in New York City and outside the White House to protest US and British strikes against Houthi military targets in Yemen, saying the step threatened to widen the war in Gaza.
The protesters can be heard saying "U.S., U.K go to hell"
White House said the U.S. economy has seen very little impact from Houthi attempts to disrupt commercial shipping in the Red Sea.
Yemen's Iranian-backed Houthi militants have stepped up attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea in protest against Israel's war in Gaza.
Various shipping lines have suspended operations, instead taking the longer journey around Africa.
