Texas rapper allegedly kidnapped, raped pregnant panhandler, held her in garage against her will

In a shocking turn of events, 52-year-old Texas rapper Lee Carter, professionally known as Viper, is facing grave accusations of kidnapping, raping, and subjecting a pregnant panhandler to years of abuse. The harrowing details of the case, as outlined in Harris County court records, shed light on a disturbing narrative of captivity, assault, and manipulation.

The Allegations:

According to court records, Viper allegedly picked up a "vulnerable" panhandler and transported her to his Houston home, where the horrifying ordeal unfolded. The victim, who was pregnant at the time, was reportedly subjected to sexual assault and forced to consume crack cocaine for an extended period, estimated at 4-5 years. The rapper is accused of confining the woman in a windowless, locked garage that served as her living quarters, where she endured both physical and psychological trauma.

The Disturbing Living Conditions:

The court documents reveal a grim picture of the captive's living conditions. The garage, allegedly serving as her home, contained a non-flushing makeshift toilet, a mattress covered in vomit, and 10-15 diapers. Authorities discovered that Carter had boarded up the windows after the woman attempted to escape. When police found her in April, she was reportedly "extremely malnourished," weighing approximately 70 pounds, having subsisted on a meager diet of chips and snacks.

The Terrifying Control:

The rapper is accused of exerting coercive control over the victim, threatening her with harm if she attempted to leave. Allegedly, Carter monitored and restricted her communication, even using his laptop to convey distress signals to the police. The woman expressed "imminent fear" and a desire to press charges for the kidnapping and threats.

Police Intervention and Ongoing Legal Battle:

The local fire department intervened to free the captive after prying open the garage door. Following her rescue, police arrived at Carter's residence, prompted by the woman's communication through his laptop. Authorities subsequently arrested the rapper, who was released on bail after posting a $100,000 bond.

Legal Defense and Contradictions:

Carter's attorney, George Powell, contends that the relationship between Viper and the kidnapped woman was "mutually consensual" and "100% legal." Powell suggested that the victim had a history of mental health issues, emphasizing that Carter had supported her through those challenges. However, the officer who found the woman attested to her credibility and reliability.

Conclusion:

The unfolding case against Viper underscores the dark underbelly of alleged abuse and exploitation within a purportedly consensual relationship. As the legal proceedings continue, the court will grapple with the conflicting narratives presented by the prosecution and the defense. The public awaits justice for the victim, and the case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of addressing instances of abuse and manipulation, even within the confines of personal relationships.

The student was interviewed by officers who found the statements made not to be an actual threat to the school or any other students. As soon as it was determined that there was no threat, the school issued a notice that it was no longer on lockdown status. “We want to thank the school officia...
