A tragic incident unfolded in Florida as a mother, identified as Shirlene Alcime, jumped from a bridge shortly after her twins were found unresponsive in her vehicle on Friday, February 2nd around 2 a.m.
A passerby alerted the Miami-Dade Police Department about the unresponsive children near an on-ramp, leading to a response where the dispatcher mentioned the children were in cardiac arrest.
The twins, Milendhere Gabriel Napoleon Cadet and Milenjhit Gabriella Napoleon Cadet, were pronounced dead at the hospital, with no apparent signs of trauma. Shirlene Alcime, the driver and mother, attempted suicide by going over the bridge railing and remains hospitalized.
The father, Milson Cadet, had been at work and couldn’t reach Shirlene throughout the day. Investigators suspect a suicide attempt but no criminal charges have been filed yet.
