Putin: “One may say that they could claim back those lands of theirs.”

Tucker: "I think you're saying you want a negotiated settlement to what's happening in Ukraine."

Putin: "Right ... We were ready to sign it and the war would have been over long ago, 18 months ago..."

PUTIN CLAIMS HE ALMOST ENDED THE WAR WITH UKRAINE MONTHS AGO | UK'S PM JOHNSON RUINED IT:

TUCKER: "I think you're saying you want a negotiated settlement to what's happening in Ukraine."

PUTIN: "Right. And we made it and we prepared a huge document in Istanbul that was initialed by the head of the Ukrainian delegation. 

He affixed his signature to some of the provisions.  He put his signature and then he himself said we were ready to sign it and the war would have been over long ago. 

However, Prime Minister Johnson came and talked us out of it. And we missed that chance."

PUTIN HINTS AT WANTING PEACE?

"We are thousands of miles away… You have issues on your border, issues with migration, issues with national debt at $33 trillion.

You have nothing better to do than fight in Ukraine? Wouldn't it be better to negotiate?"

Tucker: "Why don't you just call Biden and say 'let's work this out'?

Putin: "What's there to work out? It's very simple. If you really want to stop fighting, you need to stop supplying weapons, then we can agree on some terms. 

Why would I call him? What should I talk to him about? Or beg him for what? 'You're going to deliver such and such weapons to Ukraine. Oh, I'm afraid, I'm afraid, please don't'"

PUTIN ON WHEN HE DECIDED TO INVADE UKRAINE

Putin: "Initially it was the coup in Ukraine that provoked the conflict. 

By the way, back then, the representatives of three countries, Germany, Poland, and France, arrived. They were the guarantors of the signed agreement.  

Despite that, the opposition committed a coup and all of these countries pretended that they didn't remember they were guarantors of the peaceful settlement."

PUTIN: THE WESTERN EMPIRE IS DECLINING

Putin: "We, together with my colleague and friend, President Xi Jinping, set a goal to reach $200 billion of mutual trade with China this year. We have exceeded this level.

One more important thing, our trade is very balanced and mutually complementary in high-tech, energy, scientific research and development. 

Back in 1992, the share of the G7 in countries in the world economy amounted to 47%, whereas in 2022 it was down to a little over 30%."

PUTIN: U.S TRADE RESTRICTIONS is complete foolishness as it damages the U.S. economy and undermines the United States' power across the world.

Putin: "U.S. dollars accounted for approximately 50% of our transactions with third countries, while currently, it is down to 13%. It was the decision of the United States to restrict our transactions in U.S. dollars. 

I think it is complete foolishness from the point of view of the interests of the United States itself and its taxpayers, as it damages the U.S. economy and undermines the United States' power across the world."
