"This is a joke christchurch and canterbury only have so many firefighters bridges and most of them are volunteer and have Jobs n family's. It's starting to seem like someone is doing this .I feel for the fireman and ladies who r working around the clock"
"Brandon Smith This was most likely caused by the harvester thats in the paddock, It may have clipped a stone when working."
"All these fire can't be just a coincidence surely . I know it's hot but there nuat be more to thus"
"Oh no!! We need to catch the person doing this"
"This is not the band wagon people need to jump on! 1 could be an accident, more than 1 is on purpose"
"Unfortunately with harvest under way in Canterbury (and it being so tinder dry) this type of fire (as in the photo) is more than likely the result of something going wrong in the paddock that the combine and perhaps other machinery is in. I appreciate people's nerves are stretched at the moment with several other fires happening in the region, but please please don't jump to conclusions about how any of them started. Accidents can and do happen and not every fire is the result of arson."
