Breaking: Former Trump official Mike Gill dies after being shot during Washington DC carjacking incident
Mike Gill who work as chief of staff at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) under Donald Trump Administration has died from injuries he sustained during a carjacking incident in Washington DC.
The incident happened in the 900 block of K Street NW at around 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
The suspect, Artell Cunningham, 28 entered Gill car and shot him, he tried stealing many different cars afterwards and even killed a car owner, Alberto Vasquez, Jr., 35.
Artell Cunningham, 28 was also killed by law enforcement agencies.
Mike Gill's wife, Kristina, said "It is with profound sadness that I wish to inform the community of the passing of my husband, Mike Gill," Kristina said in a statement. "His sudden departure has left a void in our lives that can never be filled."
"In this time of grief, we are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and the community, and extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out to offer condolences and assistance."
