Ballona Creek in Marina del Ray is at dangerously high levels, with rain continuing to intensify as a "bomb cyclone" hits California.
It's flowing at 18,000 cubic feet per second and is expected to rise over the coming hours.
As storms pummeled California with heavy rainfall on Sunday, meteorologists at the National Weather Service upgraded the deluge to a “bomb cyclone” for its rare — and potentially historic — capacity for destruction.
