As the U.S struggles to decide what to do about its migrant crisis, China is cracking down on people leaving the country.
Since December, China has tightened its exit controls, interrogating anyone they suspect of fleeing to the U.S.
One traveler said: “Some people from Chengdu, Luoyang, and other parts of China told me that when they were leaving China as individuals, they were all interrogated, and the shortest questioning time was 25 minutes.”
