Malmstrom Air Force Base has entered a lockdown status as of 10:29 AM on February 15 in response to an active shooter alert on base. The safety of our personnel is of the utmost priority and updates will continue to come from official channels.
At this time, it is advised to shelter in place.

UPDATE(11:57 A.M.): The threat was announced at 10:29 a.m. at building 219.
Air Force and emergency personnel are securing the area.
FPCON Delta has been implemented at approximately 10:36 a.m. due to the incident.
Malmstrom officials are directing visitors and spectators to stay away from the building.
Public cooperation will help protect against possible injuries and enable base agencies to more effectively deal with the situation.
A widespread lockdown of schools, streets and neighborhoods has put a large section of east Great Falls on alert following a social media alert from Malmstrom Air Force Base warning of a "Real World Active Shooter" event.
