The Washington State Patrol said it is investigating a "serious incident" on southbound Interstate 5 approximately one mile north of Marysville.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Kelsey Harding first posted on social media about the incident at 5:13 a.m. Saturday. Harding said the incident is blocking all southbound lanes at 136th St. N, and traffic is being diverted at Exit 206.
The Washington State Department of Transportation asks all drivers to use an alternative route. The closure is expected to last for several hours.
No information on what led to the lane closures has been shared. More details are expected at a later time.
