Man in hospital after suspected road rage incident leads to shooting on Bardstown Rd, LOUISVILLE, Ky
A man is in the hospital after a believed road rage incident turned into gunfire Thursday night in the Cherokee Triangle neighborhood.
Louisville Metro police spokesperson Matthew Sanders said around 10:35 officers were called to the 1000 block of Bardstown Road where they found a man who had been shot multiple times in his legs. The man was taken to UofL Hospital where he is expected to survive.
Someone was detained from the scene, but police have not announced any arrests or further information.
Sanders said police believe there was a vehicle accident between a motorcycle and a car that caused an argument between both of the drivers, eventually leading to the shooting.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Squad is investigating.
Since the shooting happened in a busy area, police believe several people possibly saw what happened. Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or use the LMPD Crime Tip Portal.
