Road Rage Driver follows teen, knock him out, threatens to sexually assault sister in Gwinnett County

A Flowery Branch man was recently arrested after he allegedly assaulted a teenage driver to the point that the teen lost consciousness following an apparent road rage incident in north Gwinnett County.

According to a press release from the Gwinnett County Police Department, Duane Andrew Sudderth, 57, of Flowery Branch, faces a list of charges following the incident on Feb. 28.

The 18-year-old victim told police the incident began on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at R.H. Smith Boulevard in Buford. The teen alleged he and the driver of a blue pickup truck, Sudderth, exchanged "hand gestures." Sudderth then allegedly began to follow him.

"When the teen turned onto Little Mill Road, and then onto Buford Dam Road, the suspect followed," the release said. "According to the victim, the suspect tried running him off the road."

The teen and his 15-year-old sister, who was a passenger seated in the front seat, pulled into a private driveway on Buford Dam Road near Marina Way. Sudderth allegedly pulled in behind them, got out of his truck, and began to punch the teenage driver repeatedly in the face through the window.

Sudderth then told the victim that he would sexually assault his "girlfriend." That comment was aimed at the victim's sister.

"The suspect continued to punch him even as he exited the vehicle," the press release reads. "Eventually, the victim lost consciousness. When he awoke, he called the police to report the incident."

Police continued to follow up on the case over the next few days, eventually tracking Sudderth to his home in Flowery Branch on Sunday. He was arrested and booked at the Gwinnett County Jail on the following charges: aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, first-degree cruelty to children, third-degree cruelty to children, entering auto and aggressive driving. He is being held without bond.

There were some scary moments Wednesday morning for Diamond View School students, staff and parents, after the Susanville Police Department received a report of a student who may have brought a firearm to school’s campus, which was immediately placed on a ‘lockdown status.’ “Officers arrived and met with the school principal, who identified the student,” explains Interim Chief of Police Michael Bengoa-Bollinger. “It was learned no gun was ever observed, and it was a ‘statement’ that had been overheard by the reporting students while on the bus to school this morning.” School officials and officers contacted the student away from the other children and found no firearm in the student’s possession. The student was interviewed by officers who found the statements made not to be an actual threat to the school or any other students. As soon as it was determined that there was no threat, the school issued a notice that it was no longer on lockdown status. “We want to thank the school officia...

Oklahoma state Sen. Dusty Deevers hates porn so much he’s introduced a bill that would criminalize it — and that includes sexting outside of marriage. Dusty Deevers is a far-right pastor who was recently elected to the Oklahoma state senate. The Christian nationalist says p*rnography must be outlawed because everyone who participates in or views it knows that they are violating “the holy character of God” in doing so. Republican Senator new bill is seeking 20 YEARS in prison for WATCHING p*rn.  However, he put a loophole in that married couples can still send each other explicit images. Sen. Dusty Deevers is waging "spiritual warfare" to outlaw p*rnography because he says those who use/produce it are under a demonic "power that they aren't able to control." The ‘Pro-Life’ Lawmaker also Seeks To Penalize Abortions With Death Penalty Senator Dusty Deevers (R) has introduced legislation that seeks to classify abortion as murder, a move that represents an escalation...
