#BREAKING: There’s a Major 911 outages hitting the entire state of South #Dakota and becoming nationwide

Currently, mysterious widespread outages are occurring across the nation, including the whole state of South Dakota and Nebraska, parts of Nevada, Texas, Iowa, Florida, Wisconsin, and Kentucky.

Officials report major disruptions in 911 services, preventing emergency calls from getting through.

The cause of this outage remains unknown at this time as officials are actively investigating. This situation is still developing with more outages occurring.

Update on 911 outage: A fiber line servicing the 911 trunk system was cut.

We have heard that this is affecting many states across the US. Reports from SD, IA, NE, WI, TX, FL and Nevada are without services.

The 911 outage is impacting the Las Vegas valley’s ability to contact emergency services as of Wednesday evening, according to Las Vegas Metro police.

Las Vegas police gave the following update about the incident:

"URGENT: there is a 911 outage impacting your ability to contact us right now.

⚠️ Dial 911 on a mobile device, and we will be able to see your number and will call you back right away.

❌911 calls from landlines are NOT working at the moment.

There is no estimate for service restoration.

Don’t dial 911 to test.

Please keep our 911 system available for life-threatening emergencies.

Non-emergency calls to (702-828-3111) are also impacted

The City of Sioux Falls will host a press conference detailing the 911 call outages in Minnehaha County and the City of Sioux Falls at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 18. The public can tune on Facebook at City of Sioux Falls - Municipal Government.
