Reports of an Active shooter at Wilmer Hutchins High School.

Getting reports of at least 1 person shot.

We will continue to update as we learn more on this developing story.

Initial reports said the shooter is a student and 3 students have been shot, and he ran off the campus.

Dallas ISD released the following statement about the incident:

"All students and team members are safe at Wilmer Hutchins High School as we have initiated our safety protocol.

Police are on site to ensure our school remains secure.

At this time, we ask everyone to refrain from coming to the campus, as we limit access inside.

Parents will receive a letter with more details later."

Diamond View Briefly Locked Down While Police Investigate Threat

There were some scary moments Wednesday morning for Diamond View School students, staff and parents, after the Susanville Police Department received a report of a student who may have brought a firearm to school’s campus, which was immediately placed on a ‘lockdown status.’ “Officers arrived and met with the school principal, who identified the student,” explains Interim Chief of Police Michael Bengoa-Bollinger. “It was learned no gun was ever observed, and it was a ‘statement’ that had been overheard by the reporting students while on the bus to school this morning.” School officials and officers contacted the student away from the other children and found no firearm in the student’s possession.
