Suspect sought after woman, child found dead in Hillsborough County, Florida

The tranquility of Hillsborough County, Florida, was shattered by a grisly double homicide that has sent shockwaves through the community and sparked a frantic manhunt for the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Angel Gabriel Cuz-Choc. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is in a race against time to apprehend Cuz-Choc, believed to be responsible for the brutal killings of a woman and her young daughter.

According to investigators, the tragedy unfolded on Wednesday evening when deputies responded to a distressing scene at a trailer on Sumner Road in Dover. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of an adult female victim outside the residence, bearing signs of blunt force trauma. Inside the trailer, a heart-wrenching discovery awaited them as they found the lifeless body of a young girl, estimated to be around 4 or 5 years old.

The circumstances surrounding the incident paint a chilling picture of domestic violence turned deadly. Preliminary investigations suggest that the killings occurred around 3:40 p.m., with neighbors recalling screams emanating from the trailer during that time. Tragically, no one contacted authorities at the time, assuming the commotion to be commonplace for the area.

Sheriff Chad Chronister, visibly shaken by the heinous crime, confirmed that both victims succumbed to blunt force trauma. The identity of the adult female victim and the young child remains unknown, adding to the anguish of an already devastated community.

The search for Cuz-Choc intensified as law enforcement officials warned nearby residents to remain vigilant and stay indoors. With Cuz-Choc believed to have fled into the nearby strawberry fields, authorities are employing a multi-pronged approach, leveraging technology, aviation, and a relentless pursuit of justice to track down the suspect.

State Attorney Suzy Lopez's presence at the scene underscores the gravity of the situation, with a search warrant being executed as investigators leave no stone unturned in their quest for answers.
