Friday was day two of the trial for a Vancouver police officer charged with assault.
Andrea Mendoza is accused of threatening to use her stun gun on a suspect's genitals.
On Friday, that suspect took the stand.
The incident happened last May at a Walmart. It was captured on body cameras and the store's surveillance system.
The suspect was accused of shoplifting.
During a struggle with officers, Mendoza allegedly exposed the suspect's private area and threatened to stun him if he didn't stop resisting.
That suspect admits that he was resisting.
He said as soon as he felt the stun gun he stopped and was arrested.
Mendoza's attorneys argued her actions were in self-defense.
She also took the stand Friday to make her own case for her training and background.
"Different defensive tactics when we are practicing. I, you know, to get as a pain compliance. If I have a strike to the groin, it usually gets people's attention," she said.
Vancouver police confirm Mendoza is still employed with the department and has been on administrative leave.
