Two major Bozeman intersections were shut down Friday evening for about four hours after emailed bomb threats were submitted to a local media outlet.
The Bozeman Police Department worked with the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office and Montana State University Police Department to lock down the surrounding blocks of both areas, said Anthony Hutchings, BPD patrol lieutenant.
A bomb dog was brought in from the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport to search both locations.
"Please avoid the areas of Main/Rouse and Willson/Kagy.
There are road closures and heavy law enforcement presence in both areas due to bomb threats.
Resources are on their way to investigate these locations.
We will advise further when the areas reopen"
Update: UPDATE: Kagy and Willson has also been reopened. Detectives will continue investigating, but there does not appear to be any legitimacy to the threat or danger to the public. Thank you again for your patience.
